In collaboration with Mary’s Place Artist-in-residence and dream BIG luncheon Emcee Tia Naché Yarbrough, youth engaged in a writing workshop to learn the art of spoken word and storytelling. Each youth wrote their own poetic pieces and honed their skills as creative writers, poets, storytellers, and even emcees. Using literary techniques and performance coaching, students were able to showcase their art through professional audio and video recordings for the dream BIG youth poetry showcase.
