A third grader, Emily Moore, knows how to rally support and spread a message!

Victoria Mikael of Pearl Moon Writer’s Collective has worked with writers and artists around the globe, helping them share their stories and find an outlet through words. For the past year, she facilitated a writing circle for guests at the Mary’s Place Women’s Day Center.

It’s Girl Scout cookie season once again, and Mary’s Place Troop 40103 is offering several opportunities for you to grab a few boxes of your favorites!

The language of code has the power to connect people of all ages, languages, and backgrounds. Evan and Benton began teaching bi-weekly coding classes at Mary’s Place with the goal of sharing their love of computer science with kids who may not otherwise have access.

Mary’s Place is expecting! Several newborn babies will be joining families at our shelters over the next several months – 25, in fact! To celebrate, Mary’s Place is holding baby showers for families to supply them with the essentials they need to care for their new arrivals.

“The computer classes helped me find my joy again,” said Mary’s Place guest Emily, who recently completed the Computer Basics class regularly offered as part of site programming at Mary’s Place.

Natural and the Mary’s Place Housing Team partner with families to overcome barriers to housing and help them move from shelter to a home.

As a Mary's Place Volunteer and Event Coordinator, Grace Helmcke loves creating volunteer opportunities that make joyful moments and create connections with our guests. From flower arranging classes and conversations in their native languages to welcoming princesses and meals served with a smile, Grace helps our volunteers share their skills, love, and support with families at Mary’s Place in a fun and meaningful way.
